Bollards

Projects supplied and installed include:-  Westpark warehouse complex at Erskine Park, NSW. Mobis parts warehouse at Eastern Creek, NSW. New Jemena facility at Homebush Bay, NSW.

The size, type and finish of bollards are only limited by the imagination. Categories are ferrous steel, stainless steel, timber or plastic. Most bollards are round or square but can be other shapes as well or a combination structure for architectural purposes.

Ferrous Steel – can be surface mounted or concreted in-ground with surface mounted type anchored with masonry sleeve anchors or chemsets including secret fixings. Bollards concreted in-ground are preferably concrete filled to support the bollard during impact. Surface mounted bollards are not normally concrete filled as it achieves no improvement in support as the determining factor is the masonry anchors / baseplate strength.

These bollards may be used to define walkways, to prevent vehicles parking next to fire escapes, protect buildings, ram raid protection, etc.

Stainless Steel - mostly the same installation procedures and usages as galvanised steel bollards but normally used where higher level of architectural finish is desired or weather conditions e.g. seaside demand it.

Timber -  hardwood or treated pine, can be painted, oiled or stained with many varying shapes and usages.  Can be used for defining property boundaries , harbour areas, garden protection in combination with rope, wire rope or chain. Suburban street scapes can be complemented by the addition of timber bollards.
